journey
You know, once there was this email about someone asking pple who are driving what they are doing, and most of the answers were about where they are heading? The very "special" one would then reply " I am driving" . The moral of the story was supposed to be about enjoying life's journey instead of rushing through your life or something...
I realise that for the whole day, no matter where we go or what we do, I enjoy the car rides the best. You can be hanging around at some cool cafes and what not to chill out, converse and communicate. But somehow, when you sit down to talk, it becomes a conscious effort to do so. Not that its not a great way to bum ard, but in the end i kinda talk more in the car rides. When your agenda is not to sit n talk, but it comes naturally as you dont have anything to do explicitly while you travel (esp so since i am not the one driving).
And so during journeys you talk. Without fearing that the content is not good enough for a chill out session or mindless babbling would take up someone's precious time. In economics terms, there is no opportunity cost involved. Talkin during journey is then a secondary activity. Yet ironically, such freedom in e conversation allows it to be the best way to converse.
I like singing in the car; laughing my head off over absolutely nothing in the comfort of the front seat; talking to myself when i see something interesting along the road; holding your hand and slaping it so often because of your repetitive teasing... like the idea that a day out doesnt have to end with a long journey home alone.
Thank you dear
