Half a year old at work
Today marks the end of my probation period at work and i told my boss that one of the lowest paid amongst my friends. Thinking back that wasnt a very clever thing to do. But well, its pretty true.
sigh.
Was on course this two days (again) and was tasked to answer the following question:
1) What do you want to be remembered as?
2) Where do you see yourself in 5 yrs time?
3) What is your life slogan?
4) If you are not working, what would you be doing?
Where do you see yourself in 5 years time?
Hopefully by then i have finished a master degree of my choice. I am hoping to go back to sch in 2.5 yrs (approx) ha. Beginning to appreciate the freedom of not being bonded. The remaining questions would be what and where. MBA has economic value, economics at the masters level might be too mathematical for my liking, I still have interest in sociology. Going overseas provides great exposure but there is always the issue of cost and all the things I would have to leave behind.
5 years is reali a pretty long time. Hopefully I would be at the start of a new challenge by then, wherever that might be. (& hopefully, i wont be the lowest paid amongst my friends then)
IF you are not working, what would you be?
Most other participants mentioned that they want to travel the world. But i guess i am pretty happy being the frog in the well. Traveling is good, but i dont think it needs to be done only when i dont have to work for a living. If i am not working, i would wan to open my own cafe. Got pretty inspired by Gone fishing . Not the philosophical part of the theme, but the feel of it. A quiet cosy place for close friends / couple. I even thought of the name for my cafe already! It shall be named "Table for two". So every time when i pick up a call, i'll go "good evening! table for two. (/?)" and the reply would be "yes pls, 9pm .." *corny*
Yup it would have small tables and great comfy chairs. Simple expresso coffees (no almond no mint no funny stuff) It would be a great place for catching up with close friends or a great hang out place for couples and shall be opened till very late. It could even provide logistical support for the matchmaking agency that someone dreams of starting. =) Idea eh? (Can i copyright it here? Cos i do think it is a great one)
Between now and then, its reali giving my all and earning the life i am living.
